Sal\u00f2 was a capital during the Venetian rule. Its name became famous since 1943, when it became the seat of Fascist dictatorship for 600 days. Among its palaces, one worth to mentioning is the Captain&#8217;s Palace, the seat of the Venetian \u201cMagnifica Patria\u201d.
