After years in the hospitality industry, the time has come to embark on my dream job one of the things that make me feel alive the most: being a tourist guide. I like people who are extremely curious and eager for knowledge because they give me a boost. Given my English and German language training, I seek to provide local support to foreign tourists during their visits in Brescia and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n

COMPARTE<\/strong> seems like a bizarre name but it actually has very precise semantic value. In fact, it contains a blending between Spanish and Italian that links the Spanish verb COMPARTIR (sharing), to the second chunk (P)ARTE (starting point). Likewise, this is strongly connected to the exploration of both the art and customs of the territory .<\/p>\n

Following a strictly touristic profile, Brescia and Verona offer such a wide range of opportunities to visitors that it is hard to fit everything into pre-packaged routes. For this reason, I encourage you to let yourself be carried away by the small things, the many curiosities such as fascinating glimpses, and most of all the flavours of the land that may be found in the small local shops. A combination of these small elements can be used to compose a fully tailor-made tourist puzzle. Don\u2019t take my word for it – try it yourself!<\/p>\n

Whenever I start a guided tour, I always ask those present what they know about Brescia and its surroundings. The answer is disheartening: nothing or very little. At this point, I gently provide some helpful hints : “What if I say \u201cPope Paul VI\u201d? What do you know about the \u201cMille Miglia\u201d? What if I were to mention Beretta guns, or the Camonica Valley, the first Italian site to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979?”<\/p>\n
